Camel in the Neighborhood

That's right, Thanksgiving Meadows through a "party" for the neighborhood and for the grand opening of the new town homes they are going to build. They had a Camel, a small pony that the little kiddos could go on rides. I was tempted but was able to resist the pony ride offer ;) Chris and I did however enjoy the free BBQ and last but not least, the mechanical bull riding! This was the first for me. I have to say that if I were to hop on a mechanical bull just to be thrown off, that this was going to be the time to do it. Chris has wanted to get me on one of these since the Man Expo a few months ago and yes, we did get ourselves on video because I just may have to say that it will be the last time I get thrown off a bull. Real or not real :)

Our day off Hiking!

Chris and I spent our last day off on our 3 day weekend hiking a couple small hikes. Chris and I had already hiked Bell canyon before with my brother Tyrel and his wife Jessi back when we were engaged but did not take any pictures of the beautiful scenery! So this time Chris and I did :) These were perfect hikes to do when you don't have much time because they are so close and quick small hikes that you can pack a lunch to eat while enjoying the outdoors. As you can see, it was a very hot day with plenty of sun! It was a good thing we started early in the morning or we would have had too much sun!
