Wester trip to Utah!

In June over Father's Day weekend for two weeks my family had the pleasure of coming to Utah! They had the most wonderful time and it was the first time in years since we have all been together! We had to take advantage of this by taking a family photo :)

While celebrating Father's Day we had Mari and Chris' birthday at the same time and yes we were able to squeeze it all in before Jessi, baby Ty, Tyrel, Stan and John had to return to Eastern Oregon for work. We were not able to find out what the gender is for Tyrel and Jessi's expecting baby #2 on Nov.27th but I will keep you posted when we do!

On Father's Day, the rest of the Wester family went to St. George for the week hiking, swimming and exploring while I was waiting for the second weekend to arrive so I could have them! I was able to have Hyrum, Tucker, Mari, Abby, and Hallie (mimi me) on the weekends so we spent alot of time playing Rock Band2 and watching movies, eating and just having a grand time! My family picked me up after work Friday to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House which was so beautiful!!! Chris was taking pictures at our friends wedding but met up with us to finish the night! When we woke up Sat. I highlighted Mari and Hallies hair and trimmed all three of the girls' hair while waiting for my parents to meet up to finish the day in Manti. I had a wonderful day bringing back memories playing catch with my dad and playing horseshoe golf. We grabbed some grub and enjoyed the beautiful Manti pagaent performed at the Manti Temple. I couldn't have asked for a better experince with my family untill their next return!

3 years ago today!

Three years ago from today was the first day Chris and I met at FHE at the U. Above is a picture taken of us at the FHE. Little did the person who took the picture know, this would be a first picture for a couple that met, dated and got married. I vividly remember this day and what was going on in my head thinking he was the hottest guy I ever saw, lol! Chris knew I was the one for him from the moment he saw me, in fact he did everything he could to win me over including quitting his job. I continue to thank Heavenly Father for his hand in our relationship. Chris and I both see how the Lord brought us together and I want to let Chris know that I am so thankful to be his wife today :) My love for Chris has grown so much more over the last 3 years and it will continue to grow as we go hand in hand through this journey of life. I love you Chris!!!

Chris' 27th Birthday!

I want to take this time to wish my wonderful husband a fabulous birthday! Chris stayed home sick yesterday which gave me the perfect opportunity to decorate is desk at work! I apologize for the reason but it made my job easy! I was able to put up a Happy Birthday sign, put streamers up, blow up a dozen balloons and put confetti all over! What a mess but it was sure fun! When he came into work this morning he was surprised and I could tell it made him feel special! The other bonus that comes from decorating someones desk is that everyone around knows it's your birthday so he had extra birthday wishes from everyone! After we left work, we went straight to the Whitchurch's to continue the fun! Chris picked a wonderful summer dinner prepared by Fran and then we all told him how wonderful he was ending it with me! I hope you continue to remember all the things that people love about you! You are special and I am proud to have you as my own! Happy Birthday sweetheart :0)

Scottish Festival

This is our 3rd year going to the Scottish Festival! Last year we went with my brother John but this year and the first year we went with our good friends Spencer and Natalie Devine. We have had some crazy storms here the last couple weeks and caught ourselves in the middle of one today! The morning started out so beautifully! We were able to listen to the band we love called the Wicked Tinkers and the Bag Pipes throughout while picking up some great food just before we went to the fields of the Games. I was happy to see that they made it more family friendly this year by creating some of the games for the children. Above is a picture of a kid trying out the log toss. Afterwords we went back to the manly men to watch the hay toss while this crazy rain storm cam pouring down on us. it was so funny to see the guys still trying to continue the games! Either the hey could not stay in the pitch forks or the Pitch forks flew right out of there hands! We were hoping it would pass but it got worse before it got better. So we decided to make a run for it and show Spencer and Nat where we were building our home since the Festival was also at Thanksgiving Point. The rain was so bad that we were drenched head to toe running out to the car. The water filled the streets that caused Chris to lose his flip flops so he had to run barefoot ha ha! It was a short visit this year but a memorable one too!

Stan in Town!

I have not seen my brother Stan much in the last 6 years for the reason that him and I always manged to make family visits at different times :( We were the two siblings that moved away from home right out of High School. I am proud of Stan for all that he has accomplished in school and I have developed more of a love for him over years. We were only a year apart and growing up we never got along but now I couldn't be more proud of all that he is! During his visit for four days this weekend we were able to get him a ticket to the Oquirrh Mountain Open House. We went to the movies, hung out with Aaron and Josh at the Whitchurch's, went to Temple Sq. to visit church sites and most of all chatted it up to catch up on everything that is and had gone on in life. I miss him terribly and love him greatly. Thank you for the fun visit Stan!

Home Start Meeting!

Today before work Chris and I met with Roger Bess who was the main of contact for the Builders of McGarther Homes. We went over the blue prints of the home to make sure communication was accurate before building. Sure enough there were a couple misunderstanding but we were able to resolve them! We would have had a different master bathroom that we did not want and changed up a couple miner things so all is good now! Chris and I are more than thrilled at this point and ready to let the building begin!!!
