My Birthday!

I am now 24 and the same age as Chris when we met. I have not had a birthday like this in a very long time! I felt like a queen and have so many to thank for that. Arriving work my good friend Leah decked out my cubical with confetti, balloons, streamers, etc and my other good friend Jennifer brought me some flowers and mandarin oranges ;) My whole family sent me birthday cards and called me to wish me happy birthday throughout the day starting with my dad at 8am. After work Leah, Chris and I went to the Whitchurch's and celebrated my day! I could not have felt more more loved and appreciated. The Whitchurch's have a tradition to the have each family member tell the birthday kid why they love them and then when they give you there gift, before opening it, you need to tell them a wish you have for them. I feel that this tradition has helped their family be as close as they are and it will be a tradition that I will continue to have with our family! It was a perfect birthday and I could not have been happier thanks to my husband, friends and family!

My favorite gift from Chris~

My romantic husband found another opportunity to surprise me! I received a call from the front desk informing me that I have a package up front and to my surprise I recognized this particular basket from past experiences!?!?! It was my all time favorite fruit basket shaped as a bouquet :) This is the third fruit basket that Chris has purchased for me and I love it love it love it! Apart of it reminds me of when I first met Chris. He first bought me a fruit bouquet two weeks into our dating relationship and even now, I remember the feelings I had. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world and I told him that I was on cloud 9 when I saw the bouquet of fruit shaped as flowers dipped in chocolate because he also picked me up from work and took me out for lunch! It was then that he discovered that I love fruit and chocolate and I preferred them over flowers so our second Valentines day he substituted a fruit basket for a bouquet of flower's :) So here it is, Administration week and Chris gets to buy me a fruit bouquet since he is "my boss" he he he!

BBQ and Swimming~

Leah came back up this weekend to go swimming with me. We changed planes a bit and went swimming over at the Whitchurch's to swim which turned out great because the whole family decided to join us and have a BBQ! What a day.... Chris had his camera so he took cool pictures of Josh and Aaron jumping off the diving board which was pretty entertaining :) I am happy to have Leah with us since her family is in Boston. I know what it's like be out here on your own and I much prefer having family around! The good weather is rolling in and I am loving it! I can't wait for the Summer time to camp and swim some more!!!

Easter!

I love Easter and this year we invited my good friend Leah to join us since she was not able to go back home to Boston with her family. The Whitchurch's were so good to her and made her feel included. We had another wonderful dinner (Fran never fails) before Fran and James made all of us kids go down stairs to play games while they were upstairs preparing the Easter egg hunt! Lets just say that while every other Easter egg hunt says 12 and under. The Whitchurch's say 13 and up!!! We quickly discovered that you can never be to old for an Easter egg hunt :) It was super fun for everyone since James recorded all of us running around in the house lol :) Afterwords we decided to watch our wedding video since Josh has been waiting to watch it with us all. I was reminded again of the beautiful memory of being sealed for time and all eternity with the love of my life, my very best friend! All in all it was a wonderful day!

A day of Rock Climbing :)

Leah and I have become really good friends since we started working together as the Design Admins and she wanted to come up and spend the weekend with us. We stopped by at the Whitchurch's for a bit and then decided to go rock climbing! Josh joined us since he to has been getting into climbing with his friends. So the four of us all went to Momentum and had a really good time :) In fact, Josh decided to purchase a pair of his own climbing shoes as well! Chris and I really enjoy sharing are interests with friends and family! What a joy this new hobby has been for us!!!
