Wilson Christmas Party!

Tonight we had our Wilson Christmas party which is Fran's side of the family located in Payson. Last year we had the Christmas party at Doug's place. This year Diane was in charge of it so we had it at a school. I have loved being apart of this family! from the very beginning Fran's family has been so accepting and excited for Chris and I to be together. It really has been so sweet to have their support! Fran's mother whom is in the picture with me to the right asked me the first time I met her when I would be joining the family which was also at Josh's farewell a year ago! Isn't she just the cutest grandma!?! It is hard to believe that I hardly new Josh for maybe 2 months before he left on his mission but just 9 months before he comes home! We are excited to have a chance to talk to him in a few weeks when he calls home on Christmas! Fran and James of course are even more excited!!! This year for our service project last FHE was to shop for a couple missionaries that do not have the family support of serving an LDS mission. I am so grateful to the Whitchurch's and for their example in serving others. Service has always been a huge part of my life and I give the credit to my parents. My dad and mom have always drilled the importance of service into our daily lives.

Jennifer's Wedding!

Just three months after Chris and I got married it was my best friend Jennifer's turn! I had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid and attend her beautiful sealing at the Portland Oregon Temple! I can't tell you enough how happy I am to see her sealed for all eternity with the love of her life (Ryan)!

Jennifer was with me every step of the way in preparation of my wedding and it has been so fun to be in those shoes for her big day! It was super busy because my sister Abby's special day as well :) Abby loved it and was okay sharring the day with Jennifer because Jennifer is adored in our family! My parents were also invited to go to the Temple sealing so the three of us were able to spend the morning at the Temple with Jen. Once we finished up taking pictures and attending the lunch provided etc. We needed to rush back to have Abby's baptism! She was glowing with big smiles all day! So instead of having a celebration dinner after the baptism, Abby, Hallie, Mari and I went to the chapel Jen was having her reception at to help her get ready! The little girls LOVED helping Jen in her wedding dress and curling her hair! They felt so special and I loved having them with me :) The rest of my family came when the reception started. Abby thought it was pretty cool having the biggest "party" on her baptism day lol! She said she had all the cake and food she wanted ;)

All in all it was an exhausting but FUN weekend for me to return home! I am so happy for both Abby and Jennifer for the choices they have made that allowed them to have these beautiful experiences! I love you both and wish Jennifer all the best in your new life with Ryan!
