Finalizing Interior Options!

We had our meeting with Kristi at the Design Studio to finalize our interior choices! Over the week we went over our list and changed what was needed to fit the price we willing to pay so we new exactly what we needed to look at. Once we were done with our changes, Chris and I brought the example pieces to Kristie to begin finalizing everything! I love love love this experience we have shared and I have felt Chris' love and appreciation for me during this time! We are curious to see how our home turns out once it is all put together! It is our first time and I am curious to see what we will learn once the whole picture is in place.

After we left the design studio, we were able to drive over to Brittany's Lacrosse game! I loved watching her play and bringing back old memories of cheering for my own siblings back in Oregon. I truly can't wait for the day to be a mom at every game cheering for my own children! I was born to be a "soccor" mom!

A rush from work!

Today after work we had our appointment with the loan officer McGarther Homes suggested and also received pre-approval through them so we have a couple options when it comes down to closing on our home!

After our meeting we quickly rushed over to the Whitchurch's home to celebrate Aaron's birthday! Like every other member of our family, we love and appreciate them all. Aaron has been a great brother to Chris over the years and we have enjoyed spending time with him! Chris and Aaron love to debate over just about everything just because they can and they love bouncing off ideas and theories. Aaron also has a very sweet heart who truly cares for everyone around him. You can always count on Aaron to be at his mother's side when needed and that goes for anyone else that needs him family or not. He will be the guy that will stop at the lemonade stands on the side of the street just to benefit the child trying to earn some extra change! Aaron, we love you and we are proud to have you as a brother!!! Above us a picture of us with Aaron. Happy Birthday :)

Design Studio here we come!

Today Chris and I went to the Design Studio for McArthur homes to see all our interior options! Wow! It was a bit overwhelming not knowing every little detail we get to choose but our excitement was even more! Chris and I did so well picking everything out that it could not have been more smooth. Again, I will express the love I have for Chris as I could not have been with a man that makes me feel as special and important as he makes me feel. I think the key that has enabled us to do so well together in these types of situations is that we feel that the opposite person is more important then the other. We enjoyed every moment picking out our choices before going home and adding it all up. We quickly discovered that we will need to cut back on some things but that was okay! Once we left the design studio, we finalized our exterior options with Tim! Yay for progress :)

Building a Home!

Chris and I decided to build a home! We know it has only been a bit over a month looking at homes before we decided to build a new home with McGarther Homes but this was the first option that felt 100% right. The rambler is 3 bedrooms 2 baths and 3400 sqft leaving the basement unfinished for now and located at Thanksgiving Meadows right in Thanksgiving Point area while expecting to move in this Fall! With all the horror stories that cause relationships to struggle we could tell that Fran and James were a bit nervous for us. They wanted to be excited for us but needed to add their tips of advice but isn't that what makes them parents! We love them dearly and couldn't be more accepting of there suggestions. Since they built there first two homes, they were very helpful! I love the area and I LOVE that I will be close to family!

More changes at HIT~

It has been two very good months working under Chris but I think HR will be happier knowing that Chris is changing departments. HR has not been a very big fan of having Chris work over me even though we worked out having Leah and I report to Lance who is the manager over Chris he he he. At least we discovered that we just flat out work well together! Over the last 9 months have been so good for our relationship! I wouldn't want it any other way :) I am now sad to have him move but excited for his potential with the company. HIT has been very good to Chris and we feel blessed to have jobs there.

Chris is now Supervising over in the AM (Account Manager's) department. This is quit a change for Chris as it is has changed his view of the future in the company completely. The AM's are treated much like the Sales team but I know Chris will do fantastic! Chris is amazing and continues to impress me more and more! I love you Chris and I will miss having you sit across from me :(

Mother's Day!

Today will always be a tender day for me as we celebrate our mother's for the reason that Chris and I have the two most incredible mom's! I can go on and on about all the reasons why we have the best mom's but words can't even do the job.
Knowing that I would not be able to see my mom on this day of recognition, I have given her a lot of thought thinking of all the memories I have with her this past week. I decided to put a collage of pictures together since I realized I had all of my childhood pictures leaving my mother with very few. As I began putting these together, I realized that putting my mother's collage was harder than my dad's for this upcoming Father's Day. The reason for this is my dad was apart of particular events due to him working long hours providing for the family while my mother has been in my everyday life activities. My mom never missed anything that involved her children and I was her best friend who cleaned the house with her, went grocery shopping, school shopping for myself and siblings, Christmas shopped and to Christmas bazaar's, all sporting events, Young Women's through Relief Society and enrichment nights to the everyday homework for school and activities/trips to the Zoo or Beach and etc. I grew up hoping to be just like her! My mother was more important to me than any other girlfriend or guy friend growing up because she really was my very best friend. We never did go through the teenage phase that pulled us apart. My mother is still the most loving patient person I know. I still hope to be just like her as she has continued to be an incredible example of the women our Heavenly Father would want us to be. As I have seen her and my dad go through their journey in life, today they till go hand in hand to the Temple several times a week while fulfilling her duty as a mother and wife. I can't tell you how important her faith has been to me and the blessings that it has brought to our family and myself. I will always have the memory of having my mom with me on four particular important days of my life being my Baptism day, when I received my Patriarchal Blessing, when I was Endowed and on my Wedding day! For that I am forever grateful!

Fran has also been just as wonderful. I have developed a love just as strong as the love I have for my mother. She too was as good to her children, loving them unconditionally and cherishing Chris more then anything! Although I married into her family, Fran and I also have a special bond that has enabled me to feel as if I am one of her own! We wish you both a very happy Mother's Day!!!

Girls night out!

After work, I had the pleasure in getting together with some girlfriend of mine from Oregon! Stephanie recently had a baby girl and it was so fun for me to see them! I have known Stephanie since elementary school and have developed lots of fun memories throughout the following years! I had such a wonderful time catching up with Stephanie and Heather over dinner at Chilli's to find out that Stephanie and her family are moving to Lehi, the same town Chris and I are looking to buy a home. Days like these, getting together with girls need to happen more often!
