Date Night!

Every now and again Chris and I enjoy going to the comedy club up in downtown Salt Lake. One reason we really enjoy this particular one is that its clean and you can "boo" at them if they cross the line. I am happy to say that we have never had to "boo" at them, ha ha!

While Chris and I were in line getting tickets, I recognized one of the girls in front of me and asked if she was from Oregon. She couldn't believe that I recognized her after all these years but tell you the truth her facial features had not changed much from when she was in high school. Her mother remarried to a man from Idaho which caused them all to leave the ward back in the day. It was fun running into old faces even though I was in her younger brothers class. Chris was impressed again since I can remember faces so well and that I had the guts to confront her. It was a bit out of my norm being a shy one in all ;)

I love that Chris takes me out still to step out of the everyday norm. I married a good man!!!

Valentine's Day Surprise!

Today at work was a special day! I don' t care for work so it was definitely not that but it was the arrival of a beautiful fruit basket bouquet that came with a cute teddy bear and balloon! Chris knows that flowers are not a must for me on Valentines Day so he went with my love for fruit!!! My favorite part is the chocolate dipped pineapple and strawberries! This was the second time I received a fruit bouquet from Chris and I loved it just as much as the first time. When we just started dating, 2 weeks into it, Chris new the way to my heart! I remember receiving the first fruit bouquet and having him show up around lunch time to take me out. I felt like the luckiest girl ever, and I still do!

Chris can be quit the romantic and I love it when he is!!! Thank you so much for everything you do for me. I love you so much!

Another Year for Grandma Whitchurch!

Yep! One of the most sweetest of ladies I have ever met is turning 86 today! I have developed a love for James' mother over the past year and a half that I have known her! Chris and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit her often with the convenience of driving by her house near the UofU where we went to church in our singles ward for 14 months. So Chris and I want to make sure we acknowledge her on her special day! We love her and we are so grateful to have her in our lives! We loved all the visits we have had while she offers us ice cream during our blissful chats :)

A trip through a Snowy Storm

Tyrel, Jessi and John came back down to our place to stay the night Saturday before waking up early Sunday morning for our cousin Katie and Josh whose ward was in Orem to attend there newest addition, Hadley's baby blessing.

I woke up to my alarm and I looked out the window to find snow covering everything! Immediately I woke everyone up in hopes that we can hurry and get on the road knowing that the roads were not yet plowed and traffic would be slow. We took the Audi and I had full confidence that we would be fine even though the snow did not stop falling. Luckily we were able to get out the door a little earlier while arriving 10 min. after the 9 AM meeting down in Orem. I was so relieved to have made it safe and sound and on time for the blessing. After the meeting, we all met up at the place the LDS movies are filmed since Josh (Katie's husband) worked there. It was pretty cool looking at all the props used in the films! We also ate great food in the room that had the green screen's for filming in doors since it was the only place big enough for everyone! Chris had been there before for a film he was in so it brought back good memories! Unfortunately I did not take a picture since we had to quickly get back home for Tyrel and Jessi. They had a long drive back to Ogden.

I love every opportunity to gather with family and it was so fun to see Aunt Cheryl and all her family again! It was great supporting them on this special day since so many could not make the drive in the snow.
