New Callings

Previously Chris and I have both been teaching in primary but today we were recently asked to teach together taking the 10 year old class. So I was pulled from the 5 year old's and joined Chris with the older group who had both 10 and 11 year old's combined which was to big. So they split them apart.

I of course was a little nervous knowing that this will be completely different then 5 year old's. I did so well with them because I am not very outgoing and entertaining like Chris is. I am a bit shy and prefer to be entertained. So today was the first Sunday for the change and Chris taught the first lesson. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Chris in front teaching the young children. This will be a growing experience for us both and I am excited to see how it goes!

An evening at the Gateway!

It is always a delight to have family in town and I have loved having Tyrel, Jessi and John living in Utah the last several months!

Today we decided to meet up in the middle which brought us into Salt Lake. As you can see in the picture, Jessi is pregnant so after we did a little window shopping at the Gateway mall and a movie, we decided to get something to eat to satisfy her pregnancy cravings ;) Chris and I are so thrilled to be an aunt and uncle to our upcoming nephew!

After we ate, John came down to Draper with Chris and I and we had the pleasure of having him stay with us for the rest of the weekend!

The beginning of a new year!

Today was a fun filled afternoon with a couple sleds, tubes and our good friends!

Chris and I went over to the Devine's home and we went with there family to the golf course close by to go sledding/tubing! Chris and I had a blast and even videoed ourselves on one of the rides down. It was a perfect sunny day and the golf courses have the perfect hills to slide down!

After we wore ourselves out Spencer and Natalie went with us to our place to warm up with some hot chocolate and marshmallows! Once we warmed up we went back over to the Devine's place and played one of my favorites, Mille Bornes!!! Playing this game with the Devine family was a lot much fun! Today was a great day to start the New Year!
