Las Vegas Baby!!!
Happy Birthday to me!!! This year for my birthday, Chris took me to Las Vegas! My husband knows how to spoil his wife and I love it :) After work Friday, Chris and I had our things packed and off we went. Being on the road itself is a fun experience for us. It seems that I open up a lot on road trips and I like to talk and talk and talk with my husband. I am not quit sure what it is but a road trip never fails. Maybe its because I love them so much and I do like to talk when I am really excited for things.
It was after one o' clock in the morning when we arrived at our hotel but if anyone knows me well enough they know that I like to save money wherever I can. So instead of checking in for a few hours paying what I call way to much. I begged my husband to let us sleep in the car. He did not like the idea but wanted to make his wife happy at the same time so we slept in the car!. We had plenty of pillows and blankets and it really was not that bad. Heck, the way I look at it is it was money I could go shopping with!
You know when you have a forgiving husband when you try doing your hair in the car. Yep! I plugged the straightener in the car in hopes to straighten my hair and I blew the fuse or something while Chris was filling the car up with gas :? Chris did not even think twice about getting upset. I felt bad because I first made him sleep in the car and then I blew a fuse in our new car but Chris does not get uptight about material possessions which I am truly grateful for. It is another prime example for me that Chris is going to be a great father.
We started out the morning by walking hours and hours up and down the strip going into different casinos and stores from 8am till our dinner date at the Tournament of Kings show! It was so much fun to be served dinner while watching the Nights fighting and jousting on horses etc. It was very eventful and I had a blast!!!
We started out day #2 by going to Hoover Dam! I have never been there and it was so so cool to walk across the dam and see the view up close. Once we finished touring Hoover Dam and took a picture of Chris in the state of Nevada and myself in Arizona, we went back to the strip and went swimming at Caesars Palace! One of the ladies sunbathing in front of us was wearing some fabulous looking sunglasses that I wish I had the guts to ask where she purchased them, but I didn't :( After we were done swimming, we bought some smoothies and packed our things to head home. Chris decided to take a detour to the Mall in Vegas to allow me to goon a "small" shopping spree! Yippee!!! I had so much fun! They had the biggest shoe store I have ever seen in my life! I was the happiest girl in town :) I found two really cute high heels that I will have to take a picture of sometime and some fun summer tops! It was definitely a birthday I will never forget but the fun had to end sometime so off we went back to good old Utah with another memory shared together! I love you Chris ;)
