Double date!

Double dates are always fun and Chris and I are always up for getting out with his parents! Tonight we went to U2 at the Planetarium! It was eventful and I LOVE music!!! Who can ask for more! I enjoy going to places I haven't been before. I love creating new memories with my husband. He is such a joy to me! He has definitely made my life more meaningful and full of exciting memories that I will hold onto forever! Even if it is just a simple double date to the planetarium ;)

Baby Ty is here!!!

Over the weekend Chris and I became an aunt and uncle! We have been so excited for our nephews arrival and we couldn't be more thrilled for my brother Tyrel and his wife Jessi! Little Ty was born March 20, 2008 weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long! What a way to start out the first day of Spring!!! Little Ty had brown hair and dark eyes leaving us to wonder what color they will turn out to be? Jessi has brown eyes and Tyrel has blue! Everyone in our family has blue eyes so maybe baby Ty will be the one to change it up!?!

After work, Chris and I packed some things to stay over night and took our new car for a longer drive to stay with the newly parents! We drove to the hospital in Ogden before they checked out. My mother was there to support her son and enjoy the precious moments of becoming a grandma! I of course was probably a bonus, lol ;)

I loved sharing this experience with my brother. It has been 6 1/2 years since our sister Hallie was born so to have a new baby joining the Wester family is a true blessing! Our family has always been a sucker for babies so I have a good feeling little Ty will be one spoiled nephew! Congratulations to you both and enjoy all the precious moments a little one brings into your home!

Our new Car!

Today we finally got the call that our new 08 Honda Accord arrived!!! This was a long process for us....

Chris and I first looked into this car last Nov. of 07 but Honda did not have it :( Honda called us back in Dec./Jan. when they found three that matched what we wanted in the US but they were all sold so Honda notified us that they will need to build our car. This left us waiting till March to finally pick up our vehicle after it arrived. Unfortunately Chris works in Provo so he had to leave me picking up our new car by myself up in SL. I was so nervous, one being that I did not feel comfortable driving a brand new vehicle. I planned to just let Chris drive it and break it in a little before I put myself behind the wheel :? Once I dropped my old Honda to sell, I picked up our new car. I called Chris to let him know I was ready to pull out and meet him at home but I would not be on my phone and drive at the same time and that went for having music and everything else! I stayed in the slow lane and went straight home! I am happy to say that I made it home safe and sound!!!

None the less I am excited for our new purchase and having to drive the car already may have helped me break into my nerves ;)

Under the Sea!

Chris and I went on another date night to the Aquarium in Sandy. Unfortunately I was not prepared for this stop so I did not have the camera with me :( It was the first for me and I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity! For one I love water and it is not often I get to see the beauty underneath on the blue! Two, I got to touch stingrays for the first time! I will have to admit that I was quit nervous at first but when you see 20 or so kids younger then the teenage years touching them, I could not let this opportunity pass ;)

I had a good time and I feel it will be a fun place for Chris and I to return and bring our kids to someday. I love trying new things and going to places I have never been before! Thanks for the adventure Chris ;)

Celebrations!

While waiting for Tyrel and Jess to come down to our place after there baby shower up north. Early this afternoon, Chris and I had the opportunity to go to the store and buy baby gifts for Jessi and our nephew who will be arriving this month.

We were so excited and had so much fun shopping! Some may say that we went all out but we couldn't help ourselves and I really couldn't picture my brother and sister n law complaining about it ;) We found out through my mom that Jessi did not get a lot of the necessities that every mother needs. We purchased a baby bag and filled it with everything a mother needs in the baby bag including a box baby diapers and wipes etc.

We couldn't wait to give them there gifts so we had Ty and Jess go through it all the moment they walked in the door! Afterwords we took them to Jordan Commons to celebrate Tyrel's birthday! He chose seafood so we went to Joe's Crab Shack before finishing the night with a movie! Chris and I love spending time with family and it was such a treat having Tyrel and Jess with us one more time before their baby arrives! Happy Birthday Tyrel!
